Metrom is a dark music project from Bratislava, Slovakia. In summer of 2007 Nenad Branković and Michal Tornyai started to experiment with their musical ideas. In 2008 they self-released a CDR EP Atra Dies with two additional tracks by related project Yspotua. Metrom's music is heavily based on improvisation, either in the studio or live. After a few successful live performances in Slovakia, Czechia and Germany they had a two year hiatus. In 2011 Metrom was reborn with an extended line-up (with Daniel Feranec and occasionally Matej Gyarfáš from Phragments) and had a string of live performances in Slovakia, Czechia and Poland. From 2014 Metrom went on another hiatus. In 2021, after 7 years, Metrom is back as the original duo with new live performances and an evolved sound. Rhythmic, abstract and still dark.
